Materials

The materials used are the decisive factor when it comes to the properties of our products. The material selected from a wide range of possible options (compounds) depends on the various use scenarios, required temperature ranges, media resistance, approvals, etc. We work with all standard materials in the industry such as NBR, EPDM, FPM, VMQ, FVMQ, HNBR, ACM and CR across the entire Shore hardness scale.
In cooperation with our customers, we can also offer or develop custom compounds.

Resistance/positive properties
Material
NBR

(acrylonitrile butadiene rubber)

Operating temperature range*

Min. -40°C to max. 120°C

Resistance/positive properties

Oil, fuel, grease, aliphatic hydrocarbons, diluted acids and alkalis, high level of abrasion resistance and stability

Material
HNBR

(hydrogenated acrylonitrile butadiene rubber)

Operating temperature range*

Min. -40 °C to max. 150 °C

Resistance/positive properties

Mineral oils with additives, low steam and gas permeability, good cold flexibility, good ozone resistance and high level of abrasion resistance

Material
FPM/FKM

Operating temperature range*

Min. -40 °C to max. 200 °C

Resistance/positive properties

Mineral oils, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons, concentrated and diluted acids, weak alkalis, excellent aging resistance

Material
EPDM

Operating temperature range*

Min. -50 °C to max. 160 °C

Resistance/positive properties

High hot-water and steam resistance, very good aging resistance and ozone resistance, very good chemical resistance

Material
VMQ

Operating temperature range*

Min. -50 °C to max. 200 °C

Resistance/positive properties

Generally FDA-compliant

Material
PTFE

Operating temperature range*

Min. -200 °C to max. 260 °C

Resistance/positive properties

Universal resistance except against liquid alkaline metals and fluorine gas under pressure, good gliding properties, low wear

We also process the following materials: FPM / GLT / GFLT, SBR, ACM, CR, FVMQ, NR, TPU, TPE, and more
* 0 The temperature ranges are guidelines that may not be possible in cases where special materials with different reinforcement types are used.
