SHS is your specialist for molded parts and O-rings in a wide variety of elastomers. Our product range is comprised of standardized parts and a variety of customer-specific tailored solutions.

1990

Founding

Alfons Schaeffer, Heribert Heinrich and Gabriele Schug-Fuchs founded SHS Dichtungen GmbH in Niederwinkling in Lower Bavaria in 1990.

1996

ISO certification and construction of company building

SHS received its first ISO 9001 certification and constructed the company building in 1996.

2001

Introduction of an ERP system

2003

Expansion of the company building:

• additional office and administration space • quality assurance • additional 1,000 m2 of storage space

2012

Introduction of a document management system

2017

Construction of a logistics center and parking garage

The logistics center is comprised of an automated two-aisle small-parts warehouse for approx. 30,000 containers and an automated single-aisle pallet warehouse for approx. 1,900 Euro pallets. The parking garage houses around 250 parking spaces over 8 levels.

2019

Expansion of surface treatment center

In our new surface treatment center, we process our bonded coatings, some of which are patented, or treat seals with special cleaning processes in a clean room cell in accordance with ISO 7.

2021

New production plant

In our new 4,000 square meter production facility, gaskets are manufactured using state-of-the-art production technology. AI-supported control machines, automated process sequences in combination with innovative production machines guarantee economical and high-quality sealing solutions based on the IATF 16949 and Industry 4.0 standard.

Today

Today we employ a total of more than 100 qualified employees who work hard in our administration, production, quality assurance and logistics departments for our customer base of more than 800 companies. We produce and sell well over a half a billion seals annually for the automotive industry, for the sanitary, hydraulics and pneumatics industries, for the production of fittings, for manufacturing machines and construction vehicles, for pumps, for medical technology, and for telecommunications.
